Step 9. Carefully pry open the case on the HDMI to USB power adapter and solder a jumper wire as seen in the image. Then Reassemble the adapter. I know the Kayo cable is hard to find. I've added an alternative cable that I have personally tested. Currently in stock at amazon. comes in many colors. Its a little thicker, but looks good.

I have soldered the surface pin header. Then, i checked with my multimeter... Pins 14&16 and 1&3 connect. Is it normal ?
