Re: Can't install adafruit retrogame

Sound won't work at all, for the setup I soldered a volume wheel and a speaker following this Tinkerboy guide. Ah. So it's just PWM audio. Make sure you have the PWM pins soldered to the proper pins on the pi. And add this line to the bottom of the /boot/config.txt file: dtoverlay=pwm-2chan,pin=18,...

Re: Can't install adafruit retrogame

I already closed the case and I'm making some tests. Games get this error when launched, some starts some doesn't. And sound doesn't work, I tried pressing select for 15 seconds and typing cat/ proc/asound/modules on the console as I saw on a tutorial but I get "cat: /proc/asound/modules: No such fi...

Re: Can't install adafruit retrogame

That was the problem, thank you! Now I'm very close to finish it but my battery doesn't have a connector, just the two wires and I was wondering if I could just desolder the connector of the powerboost and solder de battery directly to the board somehow.

Re: Can't install adafruit retrogame

I used an USB hub and know I have both a keyboard and internet connection (I checked it on my router) but when I type: curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/adafruit/Raspberry-Pi-Installer-Scripts/master/retrogame.sh >retrogame.sh I get: curl: (6) Could not resolve host: hhtps -bash: //raw.githubus...

Re: Can't install adafruit retrogame

the Pi zero only has one USB connection. You can't use a ethernet dongle and the keyboard at the same time. Even though you soldered a new USB plug, that is essentially just a copy of the micro usb on board. so plugging in a keyboard and the ethernet adapter will cause issues. Check here on how to ...

Can't install adafruit retrogame

Hi guys, this is my first build ever and I've been trying to install Adafruit's retrogame as I'm using a Tinkerboy v2.0.1 board but I can't manage to make it right. I soldered a female USB to the Pi so I can plug in a keyboard and type the installation command but I think I'm not getting any interne...

Re: Game Boy Zero won't turn on

You could solder a usb port, or just plug a micro usb to usb adapter and plug into the pi itself. Alternatively you can use a program like putty to remotely connect to the pi if needed and eliminates the need for a keyboard. Solded the USB and the keyboard worked fine, now the problem is that I don...

Re: Game Boy Zero won't turn on

That screen you posted is totally normal. You have to configure controls when starting emulation station for the first time. Since that board you are using utilizes gpio controls you would need to install retrogame and configure it based on the gpios you used. Here's a link to with retrogame instal...

Re: Game Boy Zero won't turn on

Looks to be wired to the correct area. You could try cleaning up that red wire a bit. It doesn't look great. But if the measure voltage is not 5v it's likely not the issue, I'd try another boost module if you have easy access to one. I ordered an adafruit power boost and the problem is gone. Thank ...
