Re: SAIO Battery doesn't charge

Yeah, a full battery would read about 4.2v so yeah all those are low for sure...hmmm...My next step would be to contact kite directly. And see if he can help since it seems like it's an issue with the onboard charging circuitry.

Re: SAIO Battery doesn't charge

Do you have a multimeter to actually check the voltage of the batteries? It's possible it's an issue with the script that is monitoring the battery and that they are actually charging. If they aren't charging you'll be able to tell with a multimeter for certain . And triple check the polarity. Some ...

Re: SAIO Battery doesn't charge

Do you have the battery plugged in noting the proper polarity? I believe kites boards have some text and arrows beside the JST connector for the battery.

Re: All of Rodocops GBZ's in one place

These are awesome! Man, wish I understood the wiring enough to put a few of these together...always get confused and give up outta frustration!! Thanks! It was a learning curve for me too. I had never touched a soldering iron when I first started and wermy was the only one who had a guide of sorts....

Re: All of Rodocops GBZ's in one place

Hi mate Quick question I'm just about to do my build and I love the 12th one you made. Where did you get those coloured buttons from? Also where is best to source a screen these days (I'm building both a zero and cm3) Thanks in advance ;) Those buttons came from a pack of 10 color sets from AliExpr...

Re: Pi Zero and Kite board (lite) sit high in case

I can't see any pictures. But yes, clip the pins. You do not want them to stick up too much. See a picture of a kite lite I did, this is how the pi sits. And the gpio pins need to be clipped down a bit.

actually i was able to locate the files in kites github, is there a tutorial somewhere to format fresh?
Just use something like win32diskimager, it will flash over whatever is on there. You can format the card before if you like but it's not necessary.

Re: BW 3.5” screen resolution.

That's just the way it is with those composite screens. You can switch the theme to something more suited to a small screen such as GBZ35 by RxBrad (it's the only theme I use actually). You can install it directly from the themes menu in retropie. You can also adjust the text size in the terminal to...

Re: updated retropie, no wifi now. X over the wifi symbol

My suggestion. Reflash the image and don't bother updating retropie.

Question. What type of build is this? For example, if it's a kite sword or similar. Updating retropie is likely going to cause issues.

Generally there is no reason to update retropie if everything is working fine.
