I found the problem, pin 4 in the socket was bent and shorted to pin 3. Of course I totally destroyed three 32 G SD cards, but that's part of doing it yourself. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks Zerocrash. I'm missing something simple here I think. Is this the correct pinout for a micro SD? IThe first two times I it was connected the same as A3K4's except I used pp6 as the ground. My SD cards actually smoked. I hope the diagram attaches correctly.

Has anyone else verified the wiring? I wired my up the way that Flowlance did on page 6 and fried 2 sd cards. I found a pinout for an SD card on Google and it doesnt match. I do have a 1.3 version Zero, but I have confirmed that 3.3v is pp8 and GND is on pp6.
