Re: gameboy zero by the noobest guy
its all great that you had success with what you did..... the title reads noobest guy so why do something that isnt really needed, and run the risk of messing up the board..... http://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15&p=23963&hilit=variant+9#p24053 recent post where people have tried to remo...

Re: gameboy zero by the noobest guy
As poll said it looks like your jumper wire is in the incorrect spot. This is taken directly from the wiki. I'd try soldering to that point first and if the results aren't great remove the chip as mentioned. http://www.sudomod.com/wiki/images/0/00/Variant-9_5V.jpg Also read through the whole thread...

Re: Bypass headphone jack helder 2.2
If you use PWM audio, audio can sound distored more on one emulator then the other. At least that is my experience. Did you add the disable_audio_dither=1 option to your config.txt??

Re: gameboy zero by the noobest guy
I think your 5v mod is soldered on to the wrong leg. It appears you have a Variant 9 board. I Always remove the component an then solder directly on the pad, but it is not necessary.

Re: Potential fix for USB pad problems
I am not sure if it works for the Zero W, I have to look in to that, but it works for the Zero 1.3.
Edit* Looks like should work for the Zero W. Al though the pads are no longer numbered it should be the same pads as before.

Re: Potential fix for USB pad problems
Soldering PP40 to PP35 will result in canceling the OTG, and will give you the change to use any USB Hub. PP40 is the crossover pad from the backside of the microusb connector's OTG pin. PP35 is GND. I have been using this for a while now in my Zero builds. http://cdn.liliputing.com/wp-content/uploa...

PAM8403 with volumewheel
Someone familiar with this pcb?

It looks like a handy pcb to use for a Zero project, and cheap as well. Just remove the connectors to make it flat.

Re: Screen help, no picture, 5v power measured on control board
You're sure your not shorting the signal cable with the ground? Looks like the yellow cable is soldered on in a weird angle, like almost hitting the black cable.
