GBA Emulator Help- Retropie

Hi all, I may take this issue to the retropie forums but I figured I'd try here first since it's on a mintyPi :) My first mintyPi is up and running great, and I've been transferring roms lately. I've noticed that all of the games on systems that are cleared for play on the Pi 0 W work great with one...

Re: [SOLVED] Everything works until I plug it in :)

Finally I decided to recheck his GPIO joints and 2 were bad even though he tested them before. Always double check GPIO joints if things don't work. Yup, All my continuity tests worked in the first go around, so I didn't think to check them again in my debugging process. It was still the culprit th...

Re: Everything works until I plug it in :)

Ok, you've verified that the PCB is getting 4.1v but what about the Pi? Test the voltage on the Pi.
Huzzah! That did it. My 5V pin didn't have a good connection to the board. Thanks all!

3D Printing PSA- Clean that extruder nozzle, slow first layer for PC+PBT

I was getting decent quality prints for my mintyPi pieces, but not perfect. Nothing that a little sandpaper couldn't take care of, but I wanted it even better. Tried tinkering with print speeds, extrusion widths, layer heights, temps, etc., but what did the most good was a good ol' clean out of the ...

Re: Everything works until I plug it in :)

Are you sure your battery isn't just dead? That's happened to a few people. Try just letting it charge for a bit. :) I let it sit until a full charge, led on the usb port is now green. Still no go: http://i.imgur.com/W2HmLgs.jpg I have a black wire coming out of the switch instead of red, just beca...

[SOLVED] Everything works until I plug it in :)

Hi all, I'm trying to finish up my first mintyPi, and I've seemed to hit a snag. I'm at the point where everything is wired up, and the pi/screen/sound works fine when I plug into the pi itself, but nothing happens when I plug into the usb port on the tin. Do I have everything wired up correctly? ht...

Re: Dual colored faceplate for mintyPi

did you an Exacto knife to trim some edges (that's why dome edges are uneven) I did not have to use an Exacto knife on my edges. Just some sandpaper to smooth out the top layer. Unfortunately, like @abrugsch said your print quality seems a little low. I'm seeing some evidence of under extrusion, ga...

Re: Dual colored faceplate for mintyPi

i especially like the red/white combo. I was planning on filling in the pi recess with some other colour... I think I know what colour it'll be now ;) Glad you like it! I have a nice blue filament for the wintergreen tin, I'm going to try white first, then bright green for the underside and see wha...

Dual colored faceplate for mintyPi

Hi all, Not sure if anyone has experimented with this yet. When 3d printing my faceplate I had 2 things nagging me: the pi logo was really cool but hard to see I didn't have a dark red/purple color that matched the cinnamon flavored altoids tin So, I tried to solve both problems with a multi-colored...

Re: Did I bust my cartridge reader?

I used like 2 pins in the reader for each connection, that's why I didn't use adjacent pins in the gameboy cartridge, I hope that's not why it doesn't work :(
I think i've seen others bridge 2 pins together and then solder into that and it worked fine, not sure the theory behind it.
