That all makes sense and I think I'll do that split so it'll be 2 sets of AAs running at 3v.
I like the idea of keeping it retro too.
Thanks

[Question] Powerboost 1000 Basic and 4x AA
So I bought the Powerboost 1000 Basic not the C, which means I cannot load-share the battery, so my question is this... Can I use the Powerboost 1000 Basic, connect up 4 AA batteries and use it in the same way without having a rechargeable battery? Or would it be better to use 3 AA batteries and lea...

Using DS GBA Slot instead of Original GB Slot
I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I managed to get hold of a DS GBA Slot replacement and figured surely this would be better for saving space. Once you remove the edges, the GB cart slots in perfectly. I've attached some images for how it looks in the case vs original slot. [spoiler="Orig...

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute
I managed to get a BW v7 off Amazon ( this one ), the one that can work without any modification. I tested it with my N64, soldering the power to an old USB and using a 5v wall plug. The issue I have is the screen is overly bright. I've turned all the contrast and brightness down, but its still ridi...

Re: Pi Zero back in stock! [09:38 GMT 25/05/2016]
I don't mean to be rude, and I appreciate the notice of new stock, but we need to focus RPi availability into one thread. It is a little over the top to start a new thread everytime stock reappears, especially since this is going to be a weekly thing. Considering how these things were quite rare up...

Re: Raspberry Pi 0 now available!
All six of mine arrived. I know I'm that jerk that ordered multiple, but they're all going into gameboy zeros for friends and family.
I won't be shirking them for a higher price.
