That is exactly the answer I was looking for, thanks for that very much appreciated. I have gone for the transparent case on purpose so I can see the lights and see when the charging is complete on the battery and plan to stick some electric tape over the general power on LED. Solved the volume on the speaker, I turned alsamixer volume up to 75 then went into retroarch and turned the volume up to 12db and now the sound is a good level out of the speaker I do however have to turn the volume down when using the headphone socket but that will very rarely get used so not bot...
