the size of the mdf is conditioned by the fact that you want to put t-molding or not.
there are only two widths it seems to me.
but if you do not put (like me) you can take the thickness you want, I put 10 mm on the sides and 15 mm for the control panel and the rest.

I use a dell 17" but I just get one of 19". I did the test with B & O speakers 75 Watts (45 Watts RMS) and it works very well.
