Re: Game Boy Null

Hey, I got your kit and so excited to get it going!. Unfortunately, I only seem to get a white screen booting up. I know it's running since I can ssh to the pi (after configuring on the SD card directly). All the fbtft stuff seems to show up as being setup by checking lsmod and dmesg. I checked con...

Re: Game Boy Null

So when you push the shut down button, it shuts itself down before rebooting or it instantly turns off and starts rebooting? You might have changed something when adding audio. Did it behave properly before you added audio? It should just be one press and then it shuts down, no rebooting It will sh...

Re: Game Boy Null

Ampersand...this is one awesome kit! Thank you! I have just 2 things... 1. What is the correct shut down procedure? When I hit the off switch, it does it reboot and not a shut down / power off 2. Sound works like a charm!!!!! I posted a few pics and a quick video below to show how it looks. My plan ...

Re: Game Boy Null

Copy that and thank you! I knew it had to be something simple... I was just going to mess around and confirm that the pi puts out good sound vis I2S amp. I thought it would be nice to have the image already configured so when I got it, I could put the kit together and be playing. Pictures are always...

Re: Game Boy Null

[/quote] Do they just light up or do they boot? How long are you waiting for it to turn on? Both screens? Are you trying to get an image through hdmi? Have you soldered up the PCB with all the components? I don’t know what the problem could be. I got everything working, then backed up my image, load...

Re: Game Boy Null

The image needs a 16GB micro SD. I've made a GB Null with a Pi Zero V1.3 and a Pi Zero W, and both worked without any issue. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Maybe try downloading the image again in case something went wrong there? Everything in the kit is identical to what I used to make mi...

Re: Game Boy Null

I think I found a nice, crisp way to grab audio via I2S. I was going to make a little test bed so I was ready to rock when the kits came back in stock. Is the image you put out there specific to your components? I tried a few different sized SD cards and windows / Mac but was never able to get an im...

Re: Game Boy Null

Really great kit! Can't wait for the restock! Quick question on audio - aside from modding the case - does the TP4056 have additional power bandwidth / access to the power out pins? I know it will be powering the entire system and I don't want to overload it. I am wondering if I can use the Adafruit...

Re: kitsch-bent Cartridge PCB wiring

@badbert - I think so...I am no pro so I could be wrong. I am using the same cart as you did - only difference I grounded using pin 29 instead of 32 as your picture. The guys over @kitsch-bent confirmed that the cart I have uses pins: 1,5,9,13,17,21,25,29 of the cartridge reader. I used the followin...
