Re: Composite vs DPI

I wonder if you could stash the zero and the dpi adapter in behind the screen. Then have a separate board in the bottom half of the SP for power and buttons. This would certainly leave more room for battery! Getting at the USB connector and SD card slot on the zero would be tricky. Or just run USB ...

Re: Matt's Pocket Build - WIP - Will take me a while

The lipo charging/sharing works a treat but.... I've made some daft mistakes. My power lines are crossed and I had a via in slightly the wrong place, shorting my 3v3 line, that took me hours to work out. To resolve this, I've done a bit of hot wiring and this will be followed by lots more testing b...

Re: 3.2" SPI LCD (working and ready for a build)

now its showing around 30fps (both times) .... but the games dont seem that slow (if at all) and i am aware alot of 16bit or lower games dont actually need 60fps to run smoothly even though its not 60fps (which wasnt expected).... to my novice eyes this still seems very viable (maybe not ideal) it ...

Re: [Interest Check] GBA-SP msAIO

You could buy a glass SP screen protector and mask off the boarders with masking tape. If you use something like acetone you should be able to strip away unneeded paint and leave a clean border, if you mask it properly. Yeah using tape could make a simple screen border. I actually tried using aceto...

Re: [Interest Check] GBA-SP msAIO

since right now I don't have a good way to put a border around the glass insert. Does the screen you have chosen work with the original screen protectors? It fits inside the borders? Or do you just want a modified decal to place over the original one? So with this board there will be 3 screen optio...

Re: [Interest Check] GBA-SP msAIO

What are the mechanical skills you are talking about ? :?: Nothing too complicated really. Mainly just being able to use a dremel to modify the case, as well as help figure out a clean way to cut in the X and Y buttons. I am also interested in the vinyl stickers you and VeteranGamer have been worki...

Re: 3.2" SPI LCD (working and ready for a build)

How is the FPS and tearing? Do you have a video? i'm not 100% sure on the FPS, but in the menus its showing around 60FPS (which is a good sign)... but that most probably will be different in-game... but initial testing seem pretty good.... as this screens resolution is 320x240 (or 240x320) and not ...

Re: [Interest Check] GBA-SP msAIO

Woot be a nice option. But i hate these kind of screens. I have read here some has a 3.5 spi screen. Maybe that's a option. Greets Mike I'm confused on what kind of screen you hate? The board was designed to be able to use either a 3.5in composite screen, or any 18-pin SPI screen that you can get t...

Re: [Interest Check] GBA-SP msAIO

I'd be Interested. I can possibly be one of the first testers too. I am unsure on the time I can commit though. So I would be okay with waiting until the final release too. Depends how much interest others show to help test out the initial boards. I'm in the same boat. I'd love to be a tester but I...

Re: 3.2" SPI LCD (working and ready for a build)

Very nice! I'm planning to use this screen in a few GBA SP builds. The 2.8in SPI screen fits nicely as well, but this 3.2in one is nice with the larger viewing area. Glad to see someone else is using it
