I'll try it today and report if it works well or not.
It's a loss of 10%, but 10% just for the screen is acceptable to me (better than burning a driver board once again)

Hi, I installed retropie with a bluetooth keyboard (with its own BT dongle) and a usb generic joypad and it all works fine but.... damned cable. Happy New Year to all (Bonnée année à tous les francais) Yesterday (before i drunk) i tried to convert screen to 5V... it has been a miss and i burned the drivre board. I don't want to try again before i knew if that kind of tiny converter is able to power the screen in a native 12v without damaging...

To switch it into 5v, look at the wiki
Black to any ground, red on any 5v
Yellow in the tv hole on the pi, like on the first wermy s guide
White to anything, remove it
