Anyone willing to sell a pre-stripped RPi3?

I have successfully broken 3 consecutive Raspberry Pi 3 boards over the last few months trying to strip them down for a Gameboy project, and I'm hoping someone is willing to sell a pre-stripped Raspberry Pi 3 (leaving the HDMI port/SD slot as the only remaining hardware ports) for the cost of the Pi...

Re: Use PiTFT and keep HDMI out? (RP3 in GBP)

If you try the HDMI direct from boot. The pi will tend to switch to component output if there is no HDMI cable there on boot. Another issue is that the resolution might be set in the pi to make it more suited to the TFT, and the HDMI screen you are using might not be happy with that resolution How ...

Re: Gearbest Screen Problems: Do I just suck at soldering?

Hi @GMoney Looks like your 5v mod is wrong. Your wire runs from the ground pin on the connector. See here for how it should be. (found elsewhere on forum) [image] Screen should also run off of 5v out of the box but you've already started modding so no drama. It's hard to see from your pics but make...

Gearbest Screen Problems: Do I just suck at soldering?

Can someone please take a look at the attached photos and give me some ideas on why my gearbest screen isn't doing anything? Just a quick rundown: I have a slightly-modded RPi 3 (just cut down from 4 USB/ethernet to a single USB that will soon be removed). I know I have some cleanup to do on the boa...

Use PiTFT and keep HDMI out? (RP3 in GBP)

I'm hoping someone can help me with this before I break warranty on some components. I'm attempting to build an RP3 into an old Gameboy Pocket my sister had laying around. My goal here is to add a single joystick, use the largest screen possible (which seems to be the 2.8" PiTFT Plus from Adafruit, ...
