2 layers of tape is the max not 4 as I can see the connector lock mechanism bulging out of the socket and it's likely going to break. Where is it bent? The ribbon looks fine to me and as I mentioned in another thread the last 4 pins are not used at all so if those are bent or broken they don't matt...

I noticed my display connector appears to be broken, and bent even. I have tried to trim my cable and went as far as 4 layers of masking tape on the ribbon and it will not lock into place, if I lay my finger behind the ribbon I can get the screen to light up but it just stays white. But the cap is not grounded so like I said it's probably a bad value cap and if you have any low value ceramic caps like the small radial ones https://3.imimg.com/data3/OW/GI/MY-2018242/ceramic-capacitor-250x250.jpg you can remove that cap (just apply heat to one side of it for a bit till it comes ...

I changed my settings to mono to try and fix, and it didn't help, I've jumped my speakers to the alternate outputs and it's so quiet I can't hear it but if I listen very close I can tell it's clear but again it can barely be heard.
