Ya 3ds games are a little too advanced for a pi 0, probably even a pi 3. Pi 0 can handle everything from the atari to the snes pretty well. And if you get lucky with a chip that overclocks fairly well, it can handle some ps1 games.

Random question but I'm sure I'm not the only one curios. How strong is the hinge on this thing. Strong enough for me to feel safe handing it to a child?

Haha very true. Hadn't considered power consumption or heat output. Wouldn't be too pleasant holding a metal tin at around 80*c. Oh well.

mine had the problem where the buttons would activate 2-5 times when i pressed them, but after a week the problem just went away, no idea why

unfortunately no luck. I think since when you run them in series you dont get the multiplied voltage output, and thus not enough for the powerboost to boost up. If i was running 4 batteries it may have worked, but with 3, even a 2x1 parallel outputs only 2.4v.
