Re: [PRE-ORDER] Circuit Sword, Circuit Sword Lite + Circuit Gem - OPEN

Hey Kite, is it possible to get the 640x480 display before November if I order just that (and the alternative backboard)? Or will you ship everything in November regardless of what the orders contained?

High quality DMG-01 shell with properly aligned text?

Hey there! Does anyone know a source from where to get proper, high quality gray replacement shells for the Game Boy Classic? I hope this doesn't break any forum rules! I also don't want to use an old original Game Boy for various reasons. There's lots and lots of replacement shells on aliexpress, e...

Re: Perfectly fitting DMG-01 battery

Hmmmm, the 125054 does fit perfectly, right? Hmmmmmmmmm, maybe a 3d-printable "enclosure" that hides the cables could be an alternative... I really don't like the look of that foil wrapped battery, and the sticker doesn't change much, haha. @cybergenetic, you have kite's board, right? I have a separ...

Re: Perfectly fitting DMG-01 battery

Thanks, maybe I should’ve specified more but I‘m especially looking for something that looks as sleek as possible and, at least to me, that does make a lot of difference. I‘d also consider buying an old SNES controller for that < 1mm difference compared to aftermarket buttons, haha. I‘ll try to figu...

Perfectly fitting DMG-01 battery

OK, anyone who builds their GBZ will sooner or later come across the battery problem. My first build used a Samsung S2 battery which fit almost perfectly. z8N8qAt.jpg Some minor (yet still annoying) alterations are enough for it to fit, and if you add pogo pins you can have a very nice removable, su...

Re: What 3d Printer do you have?

This thread is a bit older but I’d like to add that there seems to be a real danger of the Anet a8 catching fire . It‘s supposedly not built in a safe way and you need some extensive modifications to get it safe. Obviously many people will never have any problems, but 3D printers often run at night ...

Re: Printer bed

Gluestick and a proper brim. After applying a thin base coat of glue I can basically use the bed forever. I print with a brim for added stickiness, just to be on the safe side.

Re: Battery Question

I suppose those should have proper capacity when using several. It would be nice since you could simply use the existing battery tray and just use four of those batteries in parallel mode. That would keep things very „original“; and replacements would be easy to get. I researched a bit and having th...

Re: Battery Question

Hijacking thread. Does anyone know of any other batteries that fit? The i9100 was an almost perfect fit but I‘m afraid that the batteries you can buy are yeaaaars old. Average life should be only a few years and I suppose all sellers just still sell their initial stock. And the S2 is like 7 years ol...

[WIP] Pixel Perfect Theme for 320x240

I'm working on a pixel perfect retropie theme for 320x240 displays and thought it would be worth sharing. I suppose many of you use the same screen, either because it came with Kite's SAIO or because it's so affordable and easy to install. Normal themes aren't optimized for such a small display at a...
