Please disregard, I did not realize that my mode button was defaulted to audio and wifi both off. Re-enabling them from the mode hotkey seems to have solved my issues.

Have you downloaded the specific Circuit Sword RetroPie Image from Kite's github page? If not, that may be your problem.
