Re: Additional part sourcing thread
Oops, I misread your post, sorry. I was interested in 1 or 2 speakers, but I could help selling off to fellow Canadians. However, I'm going in vacation next weekend for about 10 days so I can't help right away. When I get back I can definitely help out with the reselling if no one else pitches in.

Re: Additional part sourcing thread
I'm interested Hedler, will send you a PM. EDIT : I am unable to send you a PM, it says that the requested user cannot be added. BTW I ordered 2 of those speakers from Ebay from a Chinese seller for $0.99 on April 27th. Still hasn't arrived so I got a refund. Today I ordered from a seller called "ux...

Re: Troubleshooting USB sound card issue
When having issues with USB it's usually 2 things, one is the pad being grounded like you have and the other is the D- and D+ being swapped (shit it happened to me) but glad you got it going and stay away from that 60/40 solder. Do you recommend the lead-free one? 63/37 Percentage-wise that's not m...

Re: Troubleshooting USB sound card issue
Thanks. Yes, I noticed that too, I had to shorten both those wires to prevent shorts again. I'm assembling the covers now but having trouble with the button plate going down further. I can't close the hinge mechanism due to this. May have to with the wires taking up space and/or the plate itself ne...

Re: Troubleshooting USB sound card issue
Glad you figured it out. I would *really* recommend shortening how much wire is exposed. It will also make it easier if you turn the wires around so they are coming from the other direction. Thanks. Re: Troubleshooting USB sound card issue
Also I wired the USB green and white here:
EDIT: Actually, now that I look at this picture, it looks like I have shorted the white wire with the hole on its right. Confirmed with multimeter.

Troubleshooting USB sound card issue
So, I thought I was done to the point where I only needed to screw everything together. The screen and buttons were working. However, I noticed my sound was not playing, even with the volume adjusted. The sound card was working before when I had plugged it in via the USB port, but now when it's sold...
