Re: Wii U Gamepad Pinouts
I've began working on the pinout mapping. I've found the amber and red LEDs. I've had the blue going at one point but I still can't find that particular pin. I think that the blue pin only lights up when there's enough power? IDK why I can't get that to work. I had to update the image from the previ...

Wii U Gamepad inspired Retropad build
Right. So I'm abandoning my full on Wii U Gamepad build. I'm still using the same look and feel of the Gamepad but I want to do too much for the small little case to accommodate. To that end, I am going to scan the shell into my computer to create a 1:1 cad model so I can edit it and create my own G...

Wii U Gamepad Pinouts
Hi everyone out there working on a Wii U RetroPad build. I have been reading awesome threads about this particular build. Banjokazooie's thread and build are both awesome. I am also thankful for ZarkWizard's work. There are a few things that I think would be good to continue outside of Banjokazooie'...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
The tp4056 can charge any mAh battery but charging time depends of the capacity . If you going to use those batteries in series you must use 1S protection as the output voltage is 4.2V. 4S protection is for 4 cell in series with output voltage 16.8V and you cannot use Tp4056 for charging. For the m...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
-snip- U need to use a 1S protection board for 4.2V lipo. Using 4 unmatched cell = lost of trouble. The safest way is to connect 2 in series, 2s battery protection with ballancer, TP5100 charger module for 7.2V lipo and step down converter. I think you may have misunderstood. I have 3 sets of four ...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
Okay, so other than the previous mic question I asked before I now have a new concern and question. Do I need a charging circuit for each battery? Or just the protection circuit? I'm probably going to 3D print a custom back shell so I can add 4 3.7V @ 9800mAh batteries. I was going to use a 4 cell p...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
-snip- 1. Basic math. Current required to power rpi3+lcd+accessories is more than 1000C can deliver. 1000 BASIC = 2A, 1000C=1A. 2. There is mic audio input on this sound card. 3. Sourcing parts used by nintendo is not an easy task without part number. I removed them and soldered wires directly to p...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
Hey banjokazooie, awesome post. I'm in the get-everything-purchased-and-delivered-from-china stage of this build and I've come across a couple issues I hope you can answer: 1. Why use a powerboost 1000 over the 1000c? You gave an answer but I didn't fully understand it. Could you elaborate? 2. I hav...
