Re: Silicone tactile switches
I actually fitted two regular tact switches with the 850mAh battery in there. I mounted the switches on the 45 degree angled sides of the VMu. It actually much nicer than in the back, cause I want it to sit flush on it's back or ruining the front clean view of the case. Personally, I've also noticed...

Re: heating issues?
I have this pack at home, which you can easily find anywhere locally. I added the flat thin copper heat sink on the Zero CPU. https://www.amazon.com/Lanpu-Raspberry-Heatsink-Aluminum-cooling/dp/B079K43ZTZ You have enough room to stick one there. It definitely helps a bit with heat dissipation especi...

Had exactly the same issue. In my case it was a bad connection to Pin Y. All fixed now.

Re: Save states on Gem
Is there a way to use them? I have an L/R set up but they aren’t working. Or how can I get to the retroarch menu? (Usually select+X). I’m fine with saving and loading that way too. The easiest way to get to RetroArch menu for configuration would actually be to SSH from a PC/Mac and do it there. mai...

Re: Circuit Gem battery
This really helps, thanks! I'm using the same battery so it's great to know that the HDMI and micro USB connectors have to come off. Do you have any special tips to share about how you removed those connectors? The holes look a bit small for a solder sucker, so I'm assuming wick needs to be used? A...

Re: Circuit Gem battery
Here you go, a few pics as a reference. An image of the device open. note the orientation of the battery. Especially the fact that the top of the battery is facing the top if the case, since the top back case is slightly curved and the top of the battery with the charge protection is thinner. IMG_36...

Re: Circuit Gem battery
Hey guys, I am actually traveling today, but will get back home later today so that I can post some pics for you to see. I built it with the original recommended 850mAh battery from the original post. It fits great inside the case. The images of the the original build are, however, somewhat misleadi...

Re: [Tutorial] Kite's Circuit board RetroPie menu shortcut
I haven't tested it, please come with code review :D But this script should work for all situations. run the install routine by having install as the first argument, (I haven't tested the sed command where it adds the xml section!), and it should find and update whichever folder of the three you in...
