Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute
a project member told me that the voltage regulator is on the upper left corner (JW5022 - a chinese clone of MP1482)... so, where to start? pin3 should do 5V? since I've never had to mod a driver-board, I am thankful for any hints and tipps :) You could look for a datasheet of this voltage regulato...

Re: USB problems with GBZ
Data sheets says it should be supported. Did you try using it before desoldering the usb ports? No, sadly I didn't (At this point of investigation I though, after I've checked all cables and measured the volatges it couldn't be anything enlse than the usb hub) soooo, any suggestions which hub...

Re: Rotate display only for one video output?
Y the Composite and HDMI share the same display buffer, therefore any change to the buffer affects both! Using DPI mode acts as a separate buffer (project I am working on, appears the only way to satisfy both requirements) but that isn't composite so you're only option is scripting :) Thank you for...

Re: USB problems with GBZ
Have you checked if the usb chipset is supported with the raspberry pi? the second one had a GL850G USB 2.0 chipset, the first one had a no specification (china stuff). Do you know a list where do check it? I've only found this one: http://elinux.org/RPi_Powered_USB_Hubs#Working_USB_Hubs I'm waitin...

USB problems with GBZ
Good morning guys, Well.... the last few days working on my GBZ project have been pretty frustrating. I got all the components and I'm feeling like I could finish the project within one day (only need to solder everything together and map GPIOs to the buttons). BUT there's a big showstopper at the m...

Rotate display only for one video output?
Hey Guys, due to the fact that I have to rotate my screen 180° for the composite TFT, I wanted to ask you whether anybody knows a possibility to rotate only the signal for the composite output but not for the hdmi? I've set the "display_rotate = 2" in the config.txt and if I connect my raspberry pi ...

Re: And Now My Game Boy Zero Build(s)...
What do you think about that screen? I got the same and hooked everything up and it looks horrible. I have flickering lines all over it. Thinking about getting the 640x480px Display now. oh man, Sorry for you! I am in the same situation like you. But I guess the horrible display quality is related ...

Re: Adding Buttons to GPIO
Hi Erik,
there's a guide in the hardware-section regarding your question:

this should help clearing the questions you have.
Feel free to ask, if there are any further questions.

Re: Flush mounted screen
I plan on painting the frame that is part of the display a grey scheme that goes with the original look of the Gameboy screen surrounding. Do you plan to paint only the part arround the display? or the hole case? If you paint the hole case I would be interested in your solution for the button lables.
