[Guide] Looping video/audio by Raspbian on boot

This is pretty much just a guide for noobs, who know little to nothing about coding. Looping video and audio within Raspbian (On Boot) is really easy. Step one is to flash the Raspbian img file to a SD card using Etcher, then putting it into the pi (There are tons of tutorials of how to do this onli...

Re: Raspberry Pi Snowman (Help)

There is a parameter you can pass to omxplayer to tell it where to output sound. On mintyPi for the splash screen this works: omxplayer -o alsa -b --layer 10000 "/home/pi/mintyPi/minty-splash.mp4" You shouldn't need the layer parameter, though. So if I use this string of code, the audio will output...

Re: Raspberry Pi Snowman (Help)

i think omxplayer can do the trick as he plays video also. I did some research, and I think I can use Omxplayer to do this, but how can you make it so it plays over usb audio (similar to the mintypi)? If you change the config file, there is an option to use the headphone jack (local) or hdmi (hdmi)...

Re: Raspberry Pi Snowman (Help)

Unfortunately, you’ll still need coding for this. Whenever I see someone say 'type this command line in', I always get confused: Should I type the code into the config.txt file? ssh it into the pi? When wermy made his halloween pumpkin video, he said something about a python script, what did he mean?

Raspberry Pi Snowman (Help)

I was thinking of doing a cute lil project as a decoration for Christmas coming up. I'm planning to put something on the back of a stuffed snowman or something, and make it so that it's holding a small trumpet. The idea is that you have to press a tactile switch on the trumpet to make it start playi...

Re: Ho Ho Ho Pi

You may know, im no stranger to custom PCB's with screens and a pi all packaged together. So i had the crazy idea of making the PCB look a little like a Christmas decoration. How do you make it so that it plays one video over and over? I want to do something similar, but I'm stumped on how to get s...

Does anyone have a battery monitor board? I messed up the controller PCB that came with Helder’s kit, and ordered one of Wermy’s controller PCBs. It doesn’t include the battery monitor board, and I would like to have one.
Helder should still be selling them, last time I checked.
