To be fair, either one of the first two will lead to the third happening anyway.
Hahaha

Yep I just saw a video from GreatScott for circuit protection, I think it is related.

Re: Battery Banks: A solution

Most charger/batteries are 3.7/4.2 V (that's nominal voltage/max voltage) and you can charge a 3.8v/4.35v cell with a 3.7/4.2 charger but not the other way round. Otherwise the battery will burn/explode/vanish? I am new to this, I think I'll have a look at electronic courses, it's been 20 years sin...

Re: Battery Banks: A solution

Duly noted! :)

Anyway, still eager to see what some better tinkerers than I am could suggest with this battery bank interesting idea! :)

Re: Battery Banks: A solution

I think ICMF was using 'most importantly' to answer the original question, "why don't we see more of these... Because most people follow wermy's guide without thinking about alternatives" {paraphrasing, not literally quoting} I don't think he's suggesting most people are thinking like "What Would W...

Re: Battery Banks: A solution

Most importantly though, it's not what Wermy used (...) I think it's sad that some people could think like that (I am not saying ICMF does, AFAIK he is merely stating a fact). It is great to always challenge something, because worst case you will learn something (why this or that solution wasn't us...

Re: Audio card, GB case height, jack slot

Wow, you are planning to do great things!! I also ordered a couple of leds for battery charging/charge status, and also a blue led (kinda classy) when game boy is powered on. I don't have any idea how to achieve this though, but I'll find a way ^^ Keep us posted with your progress in any case!! :) G...

Re: Audio card, GB case height, jack slot

These all-in-one boards are veeeeery nice!!! :) :)

I'm sad I don't remember much from my time when I studied electronics. It should feel supa great to create such a custom board... I love it! Although I would prefer to create it rather than use it :)

Re: Audio card, GB case height, jack slot

Yeah don't worry, my plan is to use a RPi Zero :)
However, I wouldn't mind buying a couple of these Neo+2 just for tinkering about... Maybe try to setup a Plex Media Player, if the specs allow it. Well, I'll see ^^

I'll have a look at your links when I get home :)

Re: Audio card, GB case height, jack slot

Hahaha I don't understand a word of what you're saying about Helder Kite and whatnot, "I'm too noob for this sh*t" :) :) Seriously, what are you talking about? I personally followed a french tutorial (youtube) and bought the stuff based on what I saw. Power supply, power booster, battery, potentiome...
