Re: Overheating / Rapid Battery Drain Issue

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I performed the mod suggested in the wiki and routed the 5v wire directly to the highlighted pin on the IC. Unfortunately the battery life remains the same, approximately 1 hr. I checked the battery voltage after the safe shutdown sequence and was getting 3.7v consiste...

Re: Overheating / Rapid Battery Drain Issue

Hey rodocop. Thanks for the feedback.Tried running the system with the screen removed and an external HDMI display as you suggested. It ran for 1hr 45mins before the safe shutdown sequence was initiated. An improvement, but a bit disappointing for a 4500maH battery. Also, the system still runs warm....

Re: tinkerBOY v1.1 Issue - Lagging/Freezing with Button Presses

Hey everyone. Thanks for the feedback. Going over the board with an eraser this time plus some more isopropyl alcohol did the trick. Buttons are super responsive now. No more lag when holding buttons down either.

Re: tinkerBOY v1.1 Issue - Lagging/Freezing with Button Presses

Hey. Thanks for the reply. That was the thread I was referring to. Cleaning the pcb did help a bit initially, but didn't solve the issue completely. Will go over the board again and double check my wiring.

[SOLVED] tinkerBOY v1.1 Issue - Lagging/Freezing with Button Presses

Good day All, I'm having an issue with a recently completed build using the tinkerBOY v1.1 board. Pressing or holding down certain buttons causes the system to lag then freeze entirely. Single presses on these buttons also have a hard time registering. This is using tinkerBOY's custom RetroPie image...

Re: White Screen

Hey Helder. Thanks for the quick reply. After adding more solder to the screen and PCB ribbon connector pins, and swapping out the old ribbon cable with a spare, the screen got all the way to the emulation station menu before cutting out to white again. I swapped the screen with a brand new one from...

White Screen

Good day All, Ran into the white screen issue with my mintyPi (v2.0 board, stock mintyPi image). This was after a couple of weeks use with no issues. During gameplay the screen suddenly cut to white. I still got sound and was able to use the hotkey to safely shut down the system. Each time I restart...

Re: 5V Input for New BW Screen Variant?

Finally got around to testing this with a multimeter. There's continuity between the alt VCC point and the relevant pins of the IC's used in both 5v mods described in this thread. Wiring power directly to that point seems to work without any modifications required.

Re: Testing PowerBoost 1000C clone before use

No direct product link unfortunately, but the manufacturer on Alibaba is a company called I.C. Engineering https://fbice.en.alibaba.com.

How should I go about testing the board before hooking it up to my actual hardware?
