Re: [Guide] ili9341 SPI TFT Screen on Retropie
Hahaha, mine worked ok, they are cheap enough, maybe check for shorts though Check for shorts between the pads I mentioned in the previous post before soldering.... I think the spacing might be too tight relative to the manufacturing accuracy.... could be sold however with a small knife cut. I will...

Re: [Guide] ili9341 SPI TFT Screen on Retropie
I was looking more closely to the PCB, seems as if the path towards SCL touches the RST pad.. made a small cut, now they are not shorted anymore. Re: [Guide] ili9341 SPI TFT Screen on Retropie
That screen looks to be just a larger ili9341. With a bit of careful soldering you could transplant the larger screen into to board of a smaller screen Or you can get a custom board made up to let you use the screen like the one I designed a while back https://oshpark.com/projects/BP9tGKag This is ...

Re: [Guide] ili9341 SPI TFT Screen on Retropie
I reread this thread and it is clear now... I will buy the "ili9341 minimal copy" board you designed and hook it up. Which resistor did you use for the backlight? Thanks!

Re: [Guide] ili9341 SPI TFT Screen on Retropie
I'm glad you had success! The viewing angles are not the best, they are actually designed to be used in portrait mode with the chip section at the bottom. But that is kinda the wrong way for gaming! There is a less common ili9342 that is apparently the same screen in landscape, but I have not had c...

Re: [Guide] ili9341 SPI TFT Screen on Retropie
I just followed the guide in the opening post (with exactly the same screen) and everything works great!
Do you also notice the very limited viewing area screen? Does anybody have some good advice for a nice screen for a GBA mod? Preferably with a much better viewing angle?

Re: PWM Audio Guide
Hi, I followed the instructions in this thread and setup a mono GPIO PWN output which is fed through the filter circuit to a class D amplifier from adafruit ( https://www.adafruit.com/product/2130 ). Audio output form the command line works (aplay), however, there is quite some noise. Anybody got ex...
