SP Zero: Parts Options for Screen, Battery, PCB, etc..

Gameboy Advance SP Zero seems to be a very rare build, and I like challenges... :o Below is a list of viable parts for others also seeking greater challenges beyond the vast open spaces of the DMG case. Case 1. Ebay $15.99 and includes a glass screen and hinges. Upon arrival case feels a tad thin in...

Re: PI ZERO SP BUILD LOG

Sempi, any updates on this build? Would love to hear how progress is going! I just got an SP case and ordered an Adafruit 1601 tft LCD, not sure what the best options for screens are besides that. I have a BW from Amazon and it's way too large and would require tons of case mod to the point of remov...

Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

To all the folks who posted "just purchased, can't wait to try it!" ... Can you please come back here and post how things went? Would love to hear from folks if this is a worthy upgrade as I just purchased another cheapie Amazon backup camera screen for $17 and the Adafruit LCD from Wermy's first bu...

Retro NES cover art

Game cover art should inspire you. When I look over my collection of games and decide what to play, I'm looking for a game cover to speak to me and get me into the game, draw me in to play it. Besides using a consistent format, my favorite NES game covers use pixelated art from the game its...

I found out if you held the ribbon down were it folds near the connector the display comes back.
I would love to see a photo! I've tried this multiple times with my hands pressing down and moving the cables and wires, and while I have pretty good eyes, I can't detect any changes.

Re: Reduce screen noise/flicker?

I've installed the shielded cable, and still I see noise... :? At best, I describe the noise as two types of visual disturbance: A) a moving and lightly colored static , it *seems* like jiggling a cable would fix it, but doesn't, it's noticeable on black screens especially and B) a refresh-rate type...
