Well, Wermy is a genius. Thread tape worked perfectly, screw got nice and tight, however that corner was still spongy. I ended up completely taking off the face plate and I found the bottom right corner of the base had come unglued! Added a touch more hot glue and we are perfect now! Thanks everyone.

Some teflon tape might help as well.
Oh I didnt even think to use a small amount of that! I'll try that tonight.

also, is it an issue with the screw itself? or the 3D printed parts below? either way, I think using a slightly different screw will help out. Im about 95% certain it is with the 3d part (especially considering I printed them myself). I need to take the time this weekend to take it apart and see if...

[Solved] Stripped Face Plate Screw

So I have a bit of a small and strange issue. The bottom left screw that holds the face plate on is stripped. Not bad but noticeable. Any tips for stripping the cartridge header off the board? I just pulled my broken DS Lite apart to salvage the buttons for a MintyPi and would love to try and save the cartridge reader for a future GBZ. Thanks.
