Re: [PRE-ORDER] Circuit Sword (+ Lite), Circuit Shield + Circuit Gem - OPEN

Kite - I have your stock Circuit Sword from the first release. If I buy a 640x480 screen, is it just plug and play? Will I need a different cable? Will I need to change any configuration settings? How about the physical dimensions of the screen? Will I need a different sized bracket/front case? Than...

Re: Minty Pi v3 FaQ: Pre-Order Edition!

Hi, will there ever be regular production or another run of the Minty Pi v3 kits? I bought a case and battery from Helder in anticipation but I probably shouldn't hold on to them if I can't get my hands on the actual v3 kits. Thanks.

Re: My GEM VMU

Great clean build! Silly question but I couldn't figure out where the test pads for about a dozen points were. I have seen the diagram but for example, for LCD DC, it's point J but uh where is the partner pad? I don't see it anywhere on the PCB. Same with the other LCD, also BATT MON, TXD, RXD, etc....

Re: Pi not getting power, no image, board clicking

Ok so GPIO pins 2 and 4 (B - VBATT) should not have continuity to GND right? In that case, I wonder if somehow GPIO 4 and 6 had solder bleed into each other, causing the short? I don't feel like any part of the board gets hot. I included a zoomed in picture of the pads where I removed the HDMI and 2...

Re: Pi not getting power, no image, board clicking

Hi Kite, Thanks for your help. I saw the test diagram and was able to test a series of connections like the directional pad, buttons A, B, L, R, ground. The ones that I have difficulty with are the ones I can't find the partner test locations for. For ones like the buttons, I know I am supposed to u...

Pi not getting power, no image, board clicking

I always have the worse luck/skill with these things. I removed the two USB ports and HDMI port and in the process pulled up some pads. I assume this is ok since I don't need to use those components anymore. The soldering of the GPIO ports seemed to go well but I didn't expand the instructions and d...

Re: Silicone tactile switches

With non silicone versions, they have ones with extra long posts. Does something similar exist for soft switches? Also, I saw a VMU build where someone actually carved into the back cover plastic so the buttons sit a little bit deeper. You can try that?
