I was just about to screw my unit together for the last time and suddenly thought...I havent heard anything from it... ... Can someone advise me what the hell i have done wrong? AMP Can you SSH onto it and execute "lsusb"? This will print out the connected usb devices. If the soundcard is shown, th...

@Vineheart01: Can you provide the model numbers of the four tiny chips on the board? Cant read the model number of the fourth and would like to know if this is the backlight driver.

Hi, good to hear, that you are making progress. Maybe you could post a schematic, when you are done? One additional hint: Kite uses the 320x240 dpi display for his boards too and he has his source-code available under: https://github.com/geebles/Super-AIO Interesting thing about his source code is h...

Re: Battery ?
Your battery has approximately 3,7Wh. The Pi Zero alone uses about 0,9W/h (5,0V, 180mA). On top comes your display. If you add all of your electronic and use a rule of thumb for the conversion in the powerboost (approx. 85% efficiency) you can measure your runtime. If you send a list of all your pla...

Re: 3.5 inch HDMI Display - high energy usage - WITH Fix
... Missed the code i needed for one, entered that in. Apparently the Pie Zero W has a slightly higher power draw or something? I used the same initial setup i had with my last build before hooking the Powerboost up (hacked up USB cable feeding into a breadboard) and even with the screen detached i...

Re: 3.5 inch HDMI Display - high energy usage - WITH Fix
Hi, maybe someone uses the hdmi screen too and want to squeeze out more runtime on batteries. ... So if im understanding this right... https://i.imgur.com/W82yzKd.jpg?1 Is this correct? I wired it this way and my screen comes on but all i get is the Retropie splash screen followed by a solid blue s...

Re: How do you usually connect your headphone jack?
I'm just wondering how do you usually connect your headphone jack? Do you connect it from the audio amp or just directly to the pi or usb sound card? Why? I guess i want to know if directly connecting it to the PWM pins on the pi zero is enough for using earphones. On my recent pi 3 build, the head...

Re: [tinkerBOY] Game Boy Three - RPi3 and DPI screen in 24-bit mode [WIP]
Hi, I would also like to learn more about driving the backlight leds. The "LQ035NC111" datasheet says 18.6V - 21.0V and max 20mA. I found many solutions on the internet with pros and cons: 1) Using a boost converter aka constant voltage and adjusting the voltage to adjust the brightness. Pros: Easy ...

Re: Gameboy Mk3 - RPi3 + DPI screen + RTC diy [WIP]
... Anyone knows if there is a 'correft' way to wire a digital pot to a boost converter for the screen backlight? I assume you use the display "LQ035NC111"? According to the datasheet the backlight needs 18.6V - 21.0V and 20mA. In my opinion you need a constant current, not a constant voltage sourc...

... - DPI 18bit (unless I figure out an alternative way to the graceful shutdown pin necessity) ... You can enable the UART over USB in the arduino (https://techoverflow.net/2015/04/22/using-arduino-leonardo-as-an-usbuart-adapter/). Then you connect your shutdown pin to the arduino. If the button i...
