This diagram will definitely come in handy. Thanks for making this @a3k4!

My search for 5in. LCD starts and stops here

For another project I'm planning, I feel that a 5" LCD would be the perfect size. (No it's not for a Wii U gamepad. That's reserved for @wermy and the others in the wii u gamepad thread :D ) Naturally, the search for a good 5in composite LCD begins and I just got this LCD in the mail today. I tested...

Re: RPi2 Overheating Causing Random Freezes (was Emulation Issues)

Thanks @dirtybeagles for posting this. I see your temp also reaches 60 degrees C. Mine continues to go up though and when it happens, that's when any emulator would freeze. I need to modify my PCB mounting plate to make way for heat sink and fan. This will entail re-arranging the components within. ...

Re: Poll: How much time did you spend completing your Game Boy Pi vs actually playing it?

I lost count of how many hours I've put building the thing. I and my daughter have been playing with the GB Pi2 esp. during the burn-in test. Had my GB not reaching 60 degrees C after 20mins, we could have played it more -- until I address the overheating issue. Btw, did you mean to have an actual p...

Re: 3D Printing: Back Button Assembly with Fan Vent

@Helder I modified the design once again to make it a single PCB, which I agree is easier from a manufacturing standpoint. With the dimensions given, does this help give you an idea of the placement? Can you elaborate how measuring "center to center" mean so I can get the additional measurements sho...

Re: Mounted screen upside down - can Teensy go somewhere else?

So I mounted my screen upside down so it could be centered better. The ribbon cable now comes down from the top of the GB and the back of the display board now faces downward. Now I'm at the part where the board connects to the display. I cut the Teensy wires to where they come up to the top, like ...

Re: Game Boy Android Gamepad

Agree that the bare OEM case is best suited for this application. Just add Helder's v1.0 button controller board plus the Adafruit Bluefruit EZ-key (for those who prefer wireless over OTG). I think the Wiimote is overkill for this application.

Re: Display with Original Bezel?

Were you able to "shrink" the display to the size of the original GB screen using overscan settings along? Curious how it looks like. :D Mind posting some pics?

Re: Rob's Gameboy Zero [DMG is gray again]

@chiz - Is this the same screen you are using on 5v? Yup. Same driver board @rob. I suggest trying a higher rated charger like a 2.5A or the PowerBoost 1000C itself. You should not get any flickering if your power supply is enough. I think this board is starting to get re-supplied lately. More and ...

Re: Rob's Gameboy Zero [DMG is gray again]

Sorry to hear that @rob. Hope you get a better screen this time that needs no modding.
