Hey there! I don't know if I can help you with your specific issue however if you use an SSH client (remote access ) you can login to the command line that way. I use chrome and if you look up secure shell (an app for chrome) you can use that to login to the pie from another computer on the network....

So after a few days of following many guides I finally got the screen working just fine.
Fore those that may be having issues ,this is the guide that helped the most!

Okay so for reference here is a pic. The yellow and orange wires coming out of the audio amp are A+ and A- I am just wondering where they connect too? I assume Left and right on the kitsch-bent pwm audio but im not 100% sure.

I don't think the problem is your wiring, it's probably software. What program/programs are you trying to set the GPIO pins up with? You don't need to setup/tell anything to use the ground pin, you're good to go already (assuming every button you have made has a connection to ground).
