Re: Button Press Confi

Just realised why the USB hub is a good idea. I (wrongly) assumed I'd be able to sort all settings and configuration from the SD card - oops. Now I've wired the usb headphone adapter straight to the pi as I thought "well I can add games straight to the SD card if I really need". Time to solder that...

Re: Button Press Confi

Unfortunately not. You do need to be at a command prompt to run the install, with the pi connected to the internet. You’ll need to plug in a usb keyboard probably in order to set it up initially Damn... Didn't realise that! Not to worry I will buy a USB OTG and connect to it that way. Thanks for th...

Re: Button Press Confi

Doh! I knew it was going to be something I overlooked.
Thanks for the reply!

From what I can see I need to enable SSH to install it?
Is there anyway to install straight to the micro SD?

Button Press Confi

Hi All, I hope you're all keeping well. Picked this project up after around 2 years of leaving it. Thankfully lots of soldering at work has meant i've got relatively good at it! One thing i cant work out is why the buttons are not working. I've installed a fresh Retro Pi and unable to get the button...

Re: Some Quick Questions...

Excellent. That’s great. I’ll double check the wermy videos - I missed the part where he wires that.
Think I’ll just stick to the one USB port then. Unlikely I’ll need it for anything else but you’re right, good for a keyboard.

I’ll get some wire for that.many Thanks once again.

Re: Some Quick Questions...

Thanks for the response. Really appreciate it :) Shame I missed out on saving some money. I’m surprised how fast the cost has risen. Just had another look at the wiring in your audio diagram- what’s the black box in the index finger? Is that the headphone port? I didn’t notice it on first looking bu...

Some Quick Questions...

Hi all, I've been looking through the forum for some advice / base knowledge for my first build and wondering if someone can review my build and answer a couple of my questions. Im building this first GBZ as a gameboy only version, so no other mods to button inputs. My Build is as follows: Raspberry...

My first build, questions and hello

Hi all, Just wanted to drop by to say hi. I’ve been watching the videos and the forums for a while and finally decided to purchase all the parts required for the game boy zero. I think the only part I’m missing is a screen cover and something I’m willing to pick up at another time. I’m a bit of a no...
