Use a desoldering vacuum sucker and a soldering iron. It's gonna be tough though but very much possible.
Ended up using a metal spudger and slipping it under the pins one by one :/ Seems to have left no damage though the pi is totally dead :(

Try a hot air rework station. Which part of the pi zero you're desoldering?
GPIO pins connecting it to the pcb. I don't own a rework station nor can I afford a decent one :/

Desoldering From PCB

My Raspberry Pi 0 decided to crap out on me so I gotta replace it. I realize that it is really hard to desolder the thing from the pcb. Any suggestions?

Re: Power issues with MicroLipo

We can't give you any info unless you show us your wiring, which is likely your problem. You can test the voltage of the battery all the way to the Controller PCB to see where there is no voltage and figure out where it's wrong. I'll get a pic in asap, but I can verify with a multimeter that at the...

Power issues with MicroLipo

I'm running a microlipo in my setup, and I'm having the following problem. When I power the Pi 0 from it's native onboard micro USB-B port, it powers on and works fine. When I try to boot from the lipo I have (1200mah 1s 3.7v from adafruit) which is verified to be charged, nothing happens. The green...

Re: Pads keep falling off :(

I have a thread around here with alternate pad locations you can solder to. Here it is: https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=3503&p=38947&hilit=usb+sound+card+alternate#p38947 if it's the output solder pads/holes then I need to get another image to show alternate points. I meant the pads ...

What temp are you soldering at and are you pulling on the wires once attached?
Soldering at 300C and the pads will literally fall off with any force, like when I’m bending the wires to fit the board on top. It’s driving me nuts.

Pads keep falling off :(

I got my order of speakers for the mintypi. I got 4 as a just in case, but it seems that no matter what I do, the pads on the speaker will be torn off literally with any movement from the wires I connect. Does anyone know how I can prevent this from happening? Now I'm stuck waiting another few weeks...

2 Pin Momentary Switches Viable?

In the build guide I see that the switches used for the L and R buttons are the 4 pin variety, but the only momentary switches I have are of the two pin kind. Can they still be used in the same way?
