I'm probably gonna glue a case together from some oak. Maybe something else Its still in the works

I know that this is probobly a total newbie question, but would it be safe to put a gamepad board directly on top of a pi board? I had an idea for a project, but I wanted to make sure that this was safe first before i do anything.
