I guess you could use an ADC (analog digital converter or something along those lines) to control brightness, but given that the backlight can be directly adjusted by adding resistance to the voltage, you can just wire inline this potentiometer. Im thinking about phone screen protector film, but as long as youre gentle, the screen is fine. just wouldnt advise scratching into it with your keys or anything.

So as far as the screen bezel, I used a LQ035NC111 screen (3.5" TFT) and removed the metal housing and after that metal housing has been taken off, the screen should lay flush and inset into the front part of the shell. the screen also doesn't run the full width of the shell either if thats what you...

I do have driver boards to run them in composite, but I am testing them with your (Tinkerboy) DPI adapter and I have a few that Ive owned for a bit that are good, but I get these groups of just bad ones with these issues.
