Re: Power conversions
Thanks for the thorough explanation. what I'm trying to do, is fix my old NES. I lost the AC adaptor, and I've read a lot of places that you're better off switching to a 12V power supply for a more universal connection since the 7805 voltage regulator can handle up to 18V. I'm still doing research, ...

Power conversions
Can anyone help me out. Does anyone one know what formulas to use to figure out what the conversion is from going to a 12V 850ma DC to 5v DC. Or from a 5V 2.5A to 3.3v. I'm trying to figure out what amperage I'll get when using the lower voltage rail.
Thanks in advance,
Thanks in advance,

Re: Slimming down the Pi3
Has any had the same problem I'm having. I desoldered the usb ports and the Ethernet jack. However, the USB ports are no longer getting power from the vacant usb port pins. When I tried bypassing by using one of the 5v GPIO pins but I'm not having luck. Any suggestions?

Re: How To - Build the PRS-Tech SNES-Zero
Can the optional USB be used for player 2 or does the GPIO mapping of the buttons prevent that?

Re: Wiring phone battery directly to PowerBoost
You'll have to look up your phone's specific lay out. The extra pads are sometimes used for the li-ion protection circuit, I believe.

Re: Load rom from Card slot
Take a look at this from daftmike on YouTube: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XXuceH1zu5k
He uses NFC in cartridges to load up the games. You could perhaps take a similar approach with GameBoy carts. That's what I was planning to do ok my next build. I hope this helps.

Re: Volume wheel wiring
I used the same pot and worked fine (mono). From the picture you provided, left to right the wiring is Audio in, audio out, ground.
