Re: Pi in a PSP

I can't wait till this comes to fruition. I've been needing a handheld to play my games on and figured I could sync saves to dropbox and have my little pi console I built use the same so I can continue on the TV. I still stand my my comment on othermod that you should make sure the USB and HDMI are ...

Pi in a PSP

Ok so firstly I mean no disrespect posting for or linking to another forum, so I hope its ok. Adam (othermod) over at othermod.com has built a Pi PSP and its great, hes currently revamping it and is pretty new to custom PCB design (and I know nothing about it). I told him that some of the guys here ...

Re: What kind of projects would you like to see next?

A PSP mod, this guy has already done it but I think we can do it better. http://lifehacker.com/revive-an-old-psp-with-a-raspberry-pi-zero-1785506904 Maybe make it dock-able plug it in to a dock and its like a console not a handheld. Especially if some of the geniuses here in the form wanted to make ...

Re: What kind of projects would you like to see next?

I don't know I'd still like to see a horizontal handheld GBA style or DS (lower-half) style something with d-pad/analog stick, ABXY, R/L (R2/L2 maybe?) 16:9 aspect ration screen, BT:LE, WiFi. with the proper ports exposed to be dock-able. Given the 'wants' list it would likely have to be a custom sh...

Re: What kind of projects would you like to see next?

I'd like to see a Gameboy Color, to me its more appealing to the eye than a Gba. Or how about a GB3? (with the board not cut). When I first decided to build a handheld, I went through a long list of consoles, trying to decide what would be best. I had thought of a PSP, though the screen is widescre...

Re: What kind of projects would you like to see next?

as far as the pi3 getting hot, in an enclosure of that size some pretty hefty passive cooling could be done.

Well, you can get ones with broken screens for $50-ish on ebay. So not too bad when you consider you're getting really nice controls and an enclosure, too.
If you could do it right, using the official pi display would be an awesome addition to this idea.

Re: What kind of projects would you like to see next?

The problem with the Pi 3 for portables is that it uses up too much juice and generates more heat. Home consoles are more likely to happen but those are a dime a dozen I recently saw a usb hub for the pi zero that add 3 usb and a wifi chip its the same size as the pi zero. I wouldn't mind a Pi3 han...

Re: [WANTED] GBA SP Screen (AGS-101)

Ah! Mine will come this week! After many researches, I prefered buy this to mount on a classic GBA: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/401094129181?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The screen itself is very hard to find (I even asked to an old chinese "famous" reseller who never reply...
