Re: Modify screen board for 5v

How did you get the chip off? I'm trying to desolder mine and it's not budging. It doesn't help that none of my tools seem to be able to grab a hold of the damn thing so I can pull on it... You do not need to remove the chip. Just solder a jumper wire from the points illustrated in the wiki. I mana...

Re: Johweb's build (WIP)

Do you actually need all those wires coming off the screen board? Can't you just connect it like the smaller screens with the single yellow wire to the TV through hold on the Pi?

Is that providing a better quality video signal with all of that in there?

Re: [FOR SALE][Worldwide] 3D-Printed Parts Full Set

Just got my parts in! Thanks for making this easier. Do you sell the boxes you created for the volume wheel and the pi to sit on?

Re: Best PCB available?

What pieces have you already bought? Which features do you need on your pcb? I based my build off of wermy's recent youtube guide. He's using helder's black all-in-one PCB that includes a usb hub (completely optional for me), audio, headphone, speaker and volume wheel hookups, and L & R button hook...

Best PCB available?

My GBZ parts are in the mail, I'm only missing a PCB. I missed out on helder's most recent offering, looking forward to a re-order soon... :D My question is, what is the best PCB available. Best = 4 buttons (a, b, x, y), relatively easy to work with, any that have other integrated features that save...

Re: Adhesive

Is there a particular hot glue that might be better than the rest? I'm not seeing much obvious variation in a quick Amazon search.

Adhesive

I see a lot of hot glue being shot into GBZ and other similar builds. I've also seen a few comments suggesting hot glue is not really a good idea for electronic applications. Either it comes into contact with something that might melt it and cause components to shift, or it doesn't last for more tha...

Newb guide?

Has anyone collected an overall guide for what you need to build a GBZ? And specifically what each part does and why you need it? I ask because I found wermy's youtube video and am jumping right into building a GBZ. I'm hoping to find a crash course in why you need each part. Specifically what would...
