Re: What software do you use to design your PCBs?

kicad is the most free!! it is open source, so it is totally free. Eagle is free for non-commercial usage and the free version is limited by board size and number of layers, but i doubt you would run into those limits to quickly. they both have weird quirks, i fell into the eagle rabbithole and so a...

yeah i think it relies on being able to run on a core on its own, then the emulator can run on another core, so everything hops along nicely :)

I had seen Juj post this code over on the retropie forum. I struggle to see the improvements myself, but im sure it looks better in person.

Re: Anybody tried AA sized LIPOs

you need to take those ratings with a pinch of salt!! I would guess they are about 800mah per cell, so if you wire them in parallel then you will be getting 3200mah @ 3.7v

those cells you linked are weird, they say they are 1.5v output, but take 4.2v to charge!?! very strange

Re: [Guide] ili9341 SPI TFT Screen on Retropie

i guess it depends what data connections that screen has. There are usually 4 main types -SPI -DPI -8 bit parallel -16 bit parallel Some screens have just a few pins that can be set high or low to change the communication modes. others are set within the screen itself, and can not be changed. The on...

Re: GPIO works in menu but not games

I had a major head scratching moment with the same thing. Try manually typing the code within the /etc/udev/rules.d/10-retrogame.rules file, i had issues with copy and paste actually putting the wrong characters in. It was the double quotes that got me, they looked like double quotes, but when i typ...
