Re: Help with BW Variant 12V to 5V [Wermy GBZ]

Look here - http://www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php?t ... 8_Mod1.jpg

I used the same board in one of mine. Used this method and connected both yellow and white wires according to wermys original guide.

USB hub help.

Need help identifying the power, ground, D+ and D- Never seen usb wires these colors lol. Also I should be ok to remove the black block on top? looks to be a jack for external power input. Lastly, if I need to trim off the furthest USB port to make it fit, that ok right? IMG_0585.JPG Thanks! Robochr...

Mine turned a bit fuzzy when it's on. Not sure why. Looking forward to a response/solution.

Re: Screen performance?

You could try forcing the frame buffer to the resolution of the screen. What I have found is that quite a few of the 3.5" composite screens are not actually 320 x 240 - they are a little under - for example the ones I have are actually 320 x 234. To set the frame buffer open up /boot/config.txt and...

Re: Screen performance?

Play with your groud: best would be to use a shielded composite connection. Maybe you find some old headphone wires or composite extensions. Second: connect the shield to the raspberry ground next to the composite pad. If no effort try any other grounds in your power distributions. Thanks! I'll giv...

Robochris' build #1.

Special thanks to wermy, helder, rxbrad, and everyone else I got advice and inspiration from. I'll spare you the build list. You've seen it all by now. Lol. I didn't deviate too much from wermys build or do anything special. I did experiment with a few 3d printed brackets I found on Thingiverse but ...

Screen performance?

Just finished my first build, turned out great! I'll put it up in the show off soon.. But first, my screen (which is BW var. 8) seems a bit fuzzy. Maybe grainy? Not sure how to explain it.. like it has the texture of old tv static. It moves, not just blurry. It's certainly playable and not too notic...

Re: LPs Three Builds to date.

Modified for maximum fun! 😂
Those look great! Nicely done. 👍🏻My current build is the same color scheme as your first. Just can't decide on clear or transparent red for the next! 😄

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

I read a while ago that some were having trouble with BW screen variant 8. If so, here was my solution I modified using method one from the wiki and wired to the Pi exactly as wermy did in the original guide (where he used the adafruit screen) here - http://www.sudomod.com/game-boy-zero-guide-part-3...

Re: Button height

Thanks guys. I'll give it a go tonight and see what happens. I don't recall any loose play in the buttons but I want looking for that either. We'll see.
