Re: Game Boy Zero case CAD files

Thank you very much! It's very possible that I need to adjust print settings. I'm kind of new to 3D printing, so I'm still experimenting with what works best on my printer. One quick question: Do you think tinkerBOY's Controller Board 3.0 and a stripped Pi 3 fit in this? Or should I extend the widt...

Re: Game Boy Zero case CAD files

So from my experience printing this on both a Dremel 3D20 and my Anycubic Kossel Plus, the default scaling of the model's button wells is just a hair too small, but the print otherwise seems to be the right size. Are DMG buttons not supposed to fit? Hi, sorry to hear you are having problems with th...

Re: Game Boy Zero case CAD files

Okay, I finally got a chance to mess around with Fusion 360 and your instructions. I think everything is now good but I won't be able to test print it til I get home later. I'm gonna upload everything in case someone else wants to use or modify things. The file is going to look sloppy I'm sure but ...

Re: Game Boy Zero case CAD files

Fan-bloody-tastic work Neolith..!! Any chance you can post the files as .iam files (Autodesk Inventor)..? Unfortunately Fusion 360 does not seem to support exporting to that format. The web exporter does have an option for .IPT files for Inventor 2016 though. Here is the file I got from Autodesk, m...

Re: Game Boy Zero case CAD files

I imported it into Fusion 360 but I can only extrude the circles and not the whole sketch. What am I missing? You are not missing anything – I did. The lines in the main shape are not closed. Only closed splines can be extruded. I didn't notice since I never used them for modelling, sorry. :? To ge...

Re: Game Boy Zero case CAD files

I cannot attach stp and stl-files so here is it: https://www.file-upload.net/download-12665351/PCB-SAIO-001.stp.html https://www.file-upload.net/download-12665353/PCB-SAIO-001.stl.html Do these files still exist? I just need the bottom half (the control section) so I can use copper paper to make my...

Re: Gameboy DMG with Analog Stick Instead of D-Pad

Yikes – I totally forgot about this thread! :? Sorry!

If anyone is still interested in replacing the D-pad with a thumbstick, I uploaded a different design here.

PSP thumbstick bracket to replace D-pad

This is a simple bracket for a PSP1000 analog thumbstick. I couldn't test this myself as I don't own a printer, but it should work. Maybe it is of use to someone. https://i.imgur.com/QgJvkYe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GCMRGsb.jpg Glue the bracket to the shell, remove the mounts on the thumbstick ...

PSP1000 thumbstick dummy

In case anyone needs a model of the PSP1000 thumbstick to work on any brackets for it, feel free to use this. :D The model is not very detailed, but the dimensions should more or less be correct. https://i.imgur.com/PItqgnt.jpg ––– If you need formats not listed here, please post in this thread and ...

How big is the hole you need to drill into the front shell for the PSP Joystick to work properly?
You asked this almost a month ago, but in case you still need an aswer:
Judging from my PSP100 stick I'd say 11.1mm in diameter should let you move the stick freely.
