Re: Video/Visual Guide - Brightness Control for LQ035NC111

Excellent hack. I'm no electrical engineer but I was under the impression that you'd need a 555 timer or something to PWM the LED backlight enable pin. I guess not?

Re: RPi alternatives that support DPI

Nano Pi Fire 2a or 3. Works fine but uses a proprietary communication protocol ("FriendlyARM’s one-wire technology") for some of the commands. Supposedly, the driver is open source. Setup instructions: http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPi_Fire2A#Connect_NanoPi-Fire2A_to_FriendlyARM_LCD_...

Re: GAME BOY MiniMo - Pi3a+ with Custom PCB

Very clean! One small change request if you do intend to sell them: please, please, please update the PCB's directional pad contacts to be like the old NES/SNES/Genesis PCB contacts. This small change should greatly help with games that require precise diagonal inputs. Compare old style vs new: cont...

60 FPS over SPI on RPI 2/3/Zero

Just wanted to share this link -- someone wrote a custom display driver for the RPI to achieve 60FPS using the SPI bus: Blazing Fast Raspberry Pi Display Driver Will Melt Your Face then Teach You How https://hackaday.com/2018/10/21/blazing-fast-raspberry-pi-display-driver-will-melt-your-face-then-te...

Re: microsd solder points

Version 1.2A and above features a JST (4pin 1.0mm) connector for a USB port which you can wire up a USB to SD adaptor for and place wherever you want. As for the on board one there are no solder points unless you use the legs of the CM3 slot. I can only assume you are trying to use the CM3 with emb...

Re: Using Banana Pi M2 Zero?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that AllWinner H2/H3 chips didn't support DPI. Just something to consider if you wanted to drive the LCD directly.

Re: Bracket for 640x480 Full VGA display ?

Hi JPE, Could you take pictures of your screen mounted inside your case? I ask because I have not been able to find a 640x480 screen that fits inside the GB case. This includes removing the screen's metal casing and sanding down the inside of the case to help. Furthermore, the screen, once installed...
