Re: Game Boy Null
Thanks everyone! Countersinking some screws is a great idea, but I don't trust myself to drill them all perfectly (it would annoy me so much if just one were slightly off). I could cut 6mm off the thickness if I used 1mm acrylic as well, but it's another thing to pay for and it didn't feel as 'elega...

GB Null
Inspired by all the stuff on here, I made this: IMG_5937.JPG IMG_5938.JPG IMG_5939.JPG IMG_5934.JPG IMG_5935.JPG I'm calling it the GB Null. It has a 2.8" ili9341 screen (thanks for the guide moosepr), 1000mAh battery (I'm getting about 2-3 hours battery life), TP4056 charger, and a Raspberry Pi Zer...

Re: POCO Zero - Vapor Ware?
The size is pretty great but it just misses the mark for me. The curvy shape makes the left analog stick jut out weirdly and the HMDI port ends up sticking out too. He should just make it flat. If he put the Start and Select buttons on the other side opposite the AB buttons, you could use the analog...

Re: 2DS XL inspired mintyPi
Just a black Sharpie, coloured it in, careful not to get it on the contacts (I actually don't know if it would be bad to get it on the contacts, better safe than sorry)NarxElectronics wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 5:23 pmSick build
What did you use to make the ribbon black? Spray Paint?

Re: 2DS XL inspired mintyPi
The blue DS Lite was more of a baby blue so I'm happier with the black, but would definitely have been pretty cool to get something closer to the 2DS turquoise.
Unrelated: it is criminal that mintyPi wasn't called "Mintendo"

Re: [In-Progress] 1st MintyPi Project
I don't think you'll need a micro SD card quite that big, I used an 8GB and it's more than enough for thousands of games. Roms start to get bigger for PSone and N64, but the Pi Zero can't really run them all that well. A fast one is always better for something like this, I used this one: https://www...

2DS XL inspired mintyPi
Hey guys! I went for an all black look in a wintergreen tin. Just for fun, here it is alongside a 2DS XL: IMG_5574.JPG IMG_5566.JPG IMG_5573.JPG You can see that I added the shut down button to the front, it's hot glued in place and fits well. I wasn't too happy about the way the ABXY letters were p...

Re: Shut Down Button Location
That is looking shiny!
Have you glued the button straight onto the back of the front plate part or figured something else out?

Shut Down Button Location
This new safe shut down board will allow for a shut down on demand button. Have you guys figured out a good place to put it? I was thinking of cutting an extra hole along the bottom edge so that all power management stuff was in one place, and then hot gluing a small button in there to stick out sli...

Re: PI ZERO SP BUILD LOG
Hi, so I made a Gameboy Advance SPi last year, I didn't get a proper board made up or anything that fancy. I used a screen from Adafruit that I had lying around and it mostly fits, I probably could have done a better job of it or looked for another screen, but hey, it works. Here's a link if you wan...
