Re: Overheating Causing Random Freezes (was Emulation Issues)

I think I may have determined the cause of random gpSP emulation freezes -- overheating. I searched how I can minimize somehow the heat using software and/or configuration alone. I came across the temp_limit config.txt variable. Documentation says below: temp_limit Overheat protection. Sets c...

Re: Emulation Issues: Random Freezes

Additional observations testing GBA emulation : gpSP - Seems to be the most mature; Audio crackles during initial load but will stabilize as the game runs; Audio is present all throughout gameplay, that is until emulation freezes at random points in the game; button configuration is easily done usin...

Thanks.
First, it's not glass. It's the the plastic cover that came with the BW Backup Camera Screen. I used Elmer's Painters Opaque Paint Marker to make that curved line at the bottom.

RPi2 Overheating Causing Random Freezes (was Emulation Issues)

As you know, I'm in the process of testing my GB Pi2 (with assistance from my daughter ). My assistant would frequently tell me that a game would hang at random points in the games she "tested". Pressing Select and Start buttons to exit back to EmulationStation doesn't work. What I would usuall...

Re: [FOR SALE] 3D-Printed Screw Brackets

Nice! Downloaded the file! Will be printing this myself! Will it be ok printed in PLA? PLA isn't as strong, but it should work. The screw holes will likely just strip easier. If this does happen, one can put a small drop of CA (super glue) and make it tight again. I do this all time when I wear out...

Re: [HELP] screen modification

Use a magnifier to look which trace the solder pad you lifted is connected to. Once found, you can scratch the board coating and solder directly to it. This is a similar approach on how @wermy soldered the button pads to the controller board.

Re: robots86 GBZ

@robots86 Wow! This is a great surprise! Believe it or not, I was searching for your build in the show-off forum and since I didn't see your post, I thought you're still waiting on parts. And here you are posting a completed build! Very nice build overall! I also like the white buttons - cl...
