Re: Thanos GB Zero build

Building continued: IMG_20160614_034152.jpg I used the Adafruit I2S amplifier to avoid having any noise from the screen. I connected it like in the adafruit guide: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-max98357-i2s-class-d-mono-amp/raspberry-pi-usage IMG_20160615_114822.jpg IMG_20160615_114916.jpg IMG...

Thanos GB Zero build

This my take on Gameboy Zero, using a handheld security monitor for display. Here is a tease video clip: https://youtu.be/H1bBOTAdsVM Testing the HDMI: https://youtu.be/QwgHRFotE80 The screen can be turned off while playing on HDMI output to save battery. Testing controls and games on GB Zero: https...

Re: What All Ive Been through To make A Gameboy

Yes, you can make a Gameboy with all these parts.

The only thing you are missing is a amplifier for the speaker, as the audio out from the raspberry is just Line Out (for headphones or amplifier).

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

What I like with this display I got, is that all in included with it, battery, charger, sound amplifier with speaker. It even ke...

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

After I soldered better the power to the raspberry zero I don't get the low battery indication on the LCD anymore, but I'll place bigger battery as I see I still have plenty of space. I'll use the cool Smakn charger booster as well. It will fit and will nicely tell me the remaining battery level all...
