Re: MintyPi v3 will not turn on at all

There are 2 that are 3.3v and 1 that gets 3.3v but only when turned on. There shouldn't be any other pin with 3.3v.

No sound means no 5v, check 5v to the D1 point if you haven't done so.

Re: Minty Pi with a 3 A+

I have sat my 3A+ inside an altoids tin and it does kinda fit... but it takes up more than double the space that the zero does. You'd have to depopulate the board, use a different or custom PCB, and still likely have to sacrifice battery size and audio. Not to mention that the 3A+ draws considerabl...

Re: MintyPi v3 will not turn on at all

Ok I might have over looked something as I re-read you first post. The pi has activity but nothing shows on the LCD so you're assuming it's power related but it might be the LCD at fault. When did you receive your kit? Was it recently?

Re: Random white screen and restart

When did you get the kit? someone else came in and posted about their similar issue and you never responded back till now. If you got the kit earlier this year then you might have a bad screen that needs a reflow on the ribbon if it's recent then EXTREMELY likely your soldering is the problem. Do yo...

Re: MintyPi v3 will not turn on at all

Ok now here is the big kicker, did you test continuity? Did you test the 5V and GND and 3.3v? if any of those are not properly connected you get no power. I'm assuming here that you did not test continuity, you can go to the wiki and look at an image of the 5V test points and some other common issue...

Re: V3 screen issues. How to fix them!

Ok it looks almost like it has a bad clock setup for the screen and it also looks like it might be a bad screen but to rule that out can you redo all the screen GPIO points and test again? Then post back here. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/197017091352690688/593251878549323806/V3_Cont_Scr...

Re: Did I kill my pi 0?

If you have any power wire touching a GND the pi will short out and you get the results you had. Always be aware of the power and GND points and make sure nothing touches them.

Getting some better wire might help too since it seems a little thick, I recommend 28AWG the silicone type.

Re: MintyPi will longer turn on

That's an extreme call of the pi being fried, how did you come to this conclusion? Removing the pi without experience or the right tools will likely damage the controller pcb.

Re: MintyPi will longer turn on

So I take it you have no battery in the unit since you're powering the thing through the usb-c instead of through the battery. If you have no battery the usb-c is not passing it's full power and amps to the pi but to the charging chip which does not provide enough power to the boost chip that powers...
