VMU Buttons

Has anyone thought about using actual buttons for the VMU instead of the flimsy silicone it comes with? I was thinking about maybe drilling the button holes a little bigger to accommodate for slightly bigger buttons, something like joycon size buttons for A B X Y or even buttons for L1/R1. Possibly ...

Re: Silicone tactile switches

Until someone 3D prints a bracket for the L1/R1 buttons for us to be able to use buttons rather than tactile switches, tactiles with or without caps is one of our only options. I've been experimenting with ways to use buttons and the best way to do so is using a 3D Printed bracket (similar to the GB...

Re: What did you glue your battery doors on with?

I always use JB Weld Clearweld for my projects. It bonds much better than superglue.

Re: I burnt my Screen. Any screens on the us to buy?

You can get the BW screen from Amazon, or the TFT LCD screen from Gearbest. The ones you get from Amazon require a bit of work as you'll have to tear it out of the casing and possibly mod it to work on 5v, and not all boards are the same. The Gearbest screen comes from China and takes a while to arr...

Re: Kite Circuit Sword build help.

Do you have the right image file, there's a difference between the Circuit Sword file and the Circuit Sword Lite files. Clicking the link below will automatically download the file for you. https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sword/releases/download/v1.3.0/retropie-4.4-rpi2_rpi3-wifi_CSO_CM3_201810...

Re: My First GBCM3

They didn't even take the time to remove the excess plastic, or the plastic strings. That's bad customer service. You can always smooth it out using sand paper and spray paint it. I get my high quality 3D prints from HoolyHoo, you can find his items in the For Sale section. https://sudomod.com/forum/...

Re: My Red GBZ using Kites Circuit Sword Lite

Update: I ended up changing the button facings, the yellow buttons made it look like a toy, and everything being red and yellow was just too much color. Here's the Gameboy with updated buttons. Light gray D-Pad, Dark gray XY and Start/Select buttons, white AB buttons. http://i67.tinypic.com/2hpue74....

Re: XY Buttons Don't Feel Right

I think that's normal, I mean the guys who make these button wells using 3D printers can only do so much. A lot can affect the final outcome. Sometimes your holes dont align with the button wells, sometimes the glue gets in the way of things. There is also that crease on the A and B button that brin...

Re: My Red GBZ using Kites Circuit Sword Lite

Very nice. Where did you source your rear buttons? I got them from HoolyHoo, he has a lot of great parts that are probably the best out there. I've bought parts and pieces from everywhere (Amazon, eBay, Gearbest... Etc) but I've found HoolyHoo's items to be the best. Here's the link to this particu...

Re: Buttons don't stick out far enough

It seems your bracket holes and the case holes are fighting each other, one set of holes is forcing the buttons one way while the other is forcing them to go another way. You may be able to expand the holes in your blue bracket to give your buttons more play. Also, sometimes attacking/screwing your ...
