Shaving Down the Gamepad Interior
EDIT: I have decided to move this step and all subsequent ones into my post on the first page, so they can be easily followed. Please see this post for the content that used to be here.

Re: Help with battery script for 2S setup!
Thank you, cbafun -- the stepdown converter doesn't have that EN pinout, which is the reason I wasn't able to use the craic Pi Power thing, although that was definitely my first thought when I started this build. :-( KonnorJ, I appreciate your point. I started the build as series rather than paralle...

Re: Elite Wii U Gamepad with RetroPi 3
IrieMars, did you you purchase a mini-USB port connector (in addition to the regular USB-A connectors) to wire to the Teensy? I think you mentioned that but I missed that in the parts list.

Re: Noob Tries to Make a Pii U (Wii U Retropie Gamepad)
Cheers, all! This is my first ever electronics project. I hope maybe somebody else who is also a noob can follow along once I’m all done, hence the level of detail. I am encountering difficulty, however, figuring out how to incorporate a battery status indicator. I have inquired on another thread bu...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
Hi, all, does anybody know how I might make a battery monitor solution (i.e., what hardware and software I should use) if I’m making a 2S 7.4V version of this, as outlined earlier in this thread? It uses a stepdown converter, not a Powerboost, so I can’t use the Lipopi circuit and script that Banjok...

Re: Noob Tries to Make a Pii U (Wii U Retropie Gamepad)
Thanks, IrieMars! I have the HDMI cable listed as part #13 up there, but I don’t have a photo because I haven’t bought mine yet — because I’m not sure how long a cable to get. I see a lot that look longer than I need. I don’t want to get one too short, what length would you recommend? Also, it looks...

Help with battery script for 2S setup!
Hi, all, I am putting a Retropie in a Wii U gamepad, using the following Lithium-Ion 2S 7.4V setup as diagrammed by sudomod community member Banjokazooie on another thread. http://i.imgur.com/7z1FU0t.jpg Banjokazooie’s own build, as described in that thread, is not this 2S setup (which was diagramme...

Re: Noob Tries to Make a Pii U (Wii U Retropie Gamepad)
Preparing Your Pi In order to make your Raspberry Pi fit into your Pii U, you’ll have to slim it down by removing the unnecessary junk from it. This is one of the most challenging and tedious parts of the project. I was greatly helped in this endeavor by Adafruit’s Diet Raspberry Pi guide , which y...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
I read somewhere that some of the tp4056 have internal battery protection but I'm not 100% sure about this information. Instead, I've ordered some circuit board for 18650 laptop battery just to be safe. Regarded the drawback I believe it would be very small if compare with screen and other circuits...

Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
BanjoKazooie (or anyone else really clever), I am wondering why you decided to go with the unprotected Li-Ion cells as opposed to the ones that come with the built-in protection. I was thinking getting protected Li-Ion cells would mean I don’t need the separate protection board in the circuit and wo...
