Re: Alternative power supply help

Not sure if it's battery level. Perhaps it's solder points for LEDs to mirror the 3 status LEDs that's already on the board. I got this from a customer review over at banggood.com: This module works very well for the price and charges my phone at 1A with no problem. It does not seem to get warm eith...

Re: Project idea help

Sorry to hear that @Goose_box. It's a good thing though that with the challenges you encountered, you're not discouraged to try again. However, the RPi2/3 is even bigger than the Pi Zero and would require additional work though there are pros and cons: Pros: 1. more processing power which will allow...

3D Printing: Back Button Assembly with Fan Vent

As some of you know, I'm currently in search of a solution for cooling down my GB Pi2. Also, as I'm testing the re-used shoulder buttons in the back of my GB Pi2, I feel that it could still be improved, particularly ergonomics. Combining the a solution for the two (2) needs, I came up with this -- b...

Re: [For Sale] $5 Game Boy Zero Controller PCB W/ Optional Audio $14 (Worldwide)

Wow, @helder's board is really hot! People are fighting over it! :D I might as well jump in the fray! @helder I'm thinking of switching to the all-in-one from the audio-only version. Pls PM me how much payment I need to add. Question on the joystick controller. Will the all-in one come with th...

Re: Taking the GBZ on a flight

For those who are seriously considering bringing their GBZs on flights, I strongly recommend testing/observing your unit's temperatures. While I've not experienced my GB Pi2 explode yet, I've detected the overheating issue early that I'm now in the process of finding a solution. The RPi Zero might n...

Re: chiz's GB Pi2

To those following this thread and also intends to use a Raspberry Pi2 in their build, I've noticed that using this setup, the RPi2 is reaching 60+ degrees temperatures causing the system to freeze. Please consider a cooling solution in your build . I started a different discussion on this overheati...

Re: Overheating Causing Random Freezes (was Emulation Issues)

@dirtybeagles Thanks for doing the tests and reporting back. With your highest temps going in the range of 57 degrees C, this just shows that my temps are normal. Try playing Mario Kart 64 and most likely you'll temps would reach 60. Before I did the testing via SSH/wi-fi, I was already experiencing...

Re: Screen Protector

Nail varnish remover, if I'm not mistaken, is usually made from acetone, which is known to melt plastics. How long did you soak the original protector? Surprised that it didn't melt.

Re: DirtyBeagles Gameboy Pi2

In my GB Pi2, the CPU gets really hot after around 15-20mins of continuous use/gameplay even with the cartridge cover removed. I documented my overheating issues and observations here: Overheating Causing Random Freezes (was Emulation Issues) When the temperature reaches 60+ degress C, any emulator ...
