Re: Looking for a Gameboy Micro shell

Thanks but I'm not in the States and our exchange rate is terrible at the moment.

Cheapest I've found so far was £45 for a pink one.

Re: Looking for a Gameboy Micro shell

Well the point of getting a housing was to work out the arrangement of parts and see what I could and couldn't put in. I don't own a micro or I'd have ripped it apart and had a look by now. Sure, it may not work at all but I wanted to try. There's only so much I can tell from the ifixit teardown ima...

Looking for a Gameboy Micro shell

I'm looking for a Gameboy Micro shell. I don't seem to be able to find any on the web. I'm interested in doing a Pi Zero version in one. The original consoles on ebay seem to go for too high a price so has anyone found a place that sells cheap housings please?

Re: Using 4xAA nimh

Yeah I was surprised too. Perhaps one has older/different chemistry or something, was about the only explanation I could think of. They were all the same batteries, same brand, from same packet. Tried it with another set and had same issue though. It's not the end of the world, but was a bit annoyin...

Re: Using 4xAA nimh

I used 3 in series to get 4.3-4.5v and used a boost converter to 5.1v. I couldn't boost 1.2v to 5v safely with the boost converters I had, to be able to do it in parallel. Nor the space to use series and parallel batteries together. There are lots of better ways to do it in my case but I like to re-...

Re: GBZ project - What to do after boot?

If you want to use an external port without a hub you need to use an OTG cable. Or make one yourself. Sounds like you are using a standard extension cable instead.

Re: Using 4xAA nimh

I used three nimh aa's in one of my builds and one battery drained a lot faster over the others. If I hadn't been monitoring them I'd have one unrecoverable battery out of the three. You will probably need a circuit to supply current evenly somehow from the batteries if you want maximum life from th...
